Midlands first responder charity receives 14th life-saving vehicle
Multifleet Vehicle Management has delivered a Midlands first responder charity with its 14th life-saving vehicle.
The Solihull-based leasing company, which trades as runyourfleet, handed over the brand-new Kia XCeed Sportswagon to the Arrive Alive charity. The vehicle, which has been funded by donations made to Arrive Alive by its supporters, will now go on duty in the North Warwickshire area.
The Birmingham-based charity, founded by Debbie Roscoe following her youngest daughter Ellie’s life-threatening case of measles in 2017, provides life-saving vehicles for community first responder teams to attend 999 calls.
Mrs Roscoe from Arrive Alive said: “We are delighted to have received what is now our 14th responder vehicle.
“This latest car will enable community first responders that we support in North Warwickshire to be available to attend emergencies.
“Between June 2024 and January 2025, more than 1,950 life-threatening 999 calls were attended to by an Arrive Alive vehicle following a 999 call.
“This means each vehicle is helping us to save multiple lives, and we want to send a huge thanks to all our supporters for the funds that make this possible.”
The new vehicle is the third to be delivered by runyourfleet, one of which it supplies free of charge in a sponsorship deal, with all the others funded by supporters.
Mrs Roscoe added: “We’ve been really pleased with the three vehicles supplied by runyourfleet, and are grateful to them for helping us to achieve this by sponsoring one of our cars.”
Steve Whitmarsh, chief executive of runyourfleet, said: “We are delighted to support the fantastic work that Arrive Alive is doing with community fast responder groups across the Midlands.
“The service these people selflessly provide for their communities is amazing, and we are very happy to be playing our part.
“We would encourage other local companies looking to support a charity to consider sponsoring an extra vehicle for Arrive Alive, as they are helping to save so many lives every year.”
