Volunteers from runyourfleet help run Midland children’s holiday club
Keen volunteers from Multifleet Vehicle Management spent every day of the half-term holiday last week helping a children’s club run by a Midland non-league football club’s charity.
The company based in Henley-in-Arden, which trades as runyourfleet, had a member of staff present from Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November at the project run by Solihull Moors Foundation.
The runyourfleet volunteer was joined every day by another volunteer from one of the company’s close suppliers, Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
Joanna Lees, marketing manager at runyourfleet, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to have had the chance to volunteer at Solihull Moors Foundation’s holiday club, supporting vulnerable children in our local community.
“Making a positive impact and bringing smiles to the children’s faces means the world to us at runyourfleet.
“We’re proud to be part of such an uplifting initiative and are also incredibly grateful to staff from our close suppliers at Enterprise for joining us in this effort.”
Amy Lloyd, who holds the role of HR generalist at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, said: “We were so pleased to be a part of an initiative that gives something valuable back to the community, and working with children was particularly fulfilling for our volunteers.”
Joe Butler, community operations manager at Solihull Moors Foundation, explained that the children’s club was based at the ARMCO Arena on Damson Parkway, Solihull.
Mr Butler said: “We’re sincerely grateful to each volunteer who agreed to help us with by giving up their time and energy.
“Their dedication made an incredible difference, and it felt as though each volunteer had been a longstanding part of our team from the start.
“Their interactions with the children and the invaluable support they provided to our coaches was truly remarkable.
“The generous volunteers collectively saved us between £300 to £400 for the week, which will go a long way in supporting our mission and expanding our programmes.”
